Raleigh, North Carolina - May 7, 2018 - Keystone Systems and the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) are excited to announce the selection of Nancy Reese as the 2018 Julie Klauber Award honoree. Reese, a member of ICfL's Talking Books Service staff since 2007, spent much of the last year learning and applying several new technologies in an effort to increase and improve patron access to the library's resources.

Keystone Systems and the Julie Klauber Award Committee will recognize Reese and present her with a plaque during the 2018 Keystone Library Automation System (KLAS) Users Conference opening session at the Boise Public Library's Main Library on Tuesday, May 8. Reese helped bring this year's conference to Boise and during the conference, she and other library staff will have opportunities to network with her peers from across the country and attend sessions about utilizing KLAS to increase patron access and services.

Reese's nomination highlighted her willingness to learn and implement new technology. As the library's KLAS administrator, Reese partnered with Keystone to troubleshoot and train staff to use the new KLAS Patron Centric Cartridges services. In her nomination of Nancy, Sue Walker, TBS consultant, Idaho Commission for Libraries, noted Reese's efforts to support and train new library staff, advocacy and efforts to bring the 2018 KLAS Users Conference to Boise, and her drive to provide quality customer service.

"We at the Idaho Talking Book Service (TBS) are so proud of the recognition bestowed upon Nancy Reese by Keystone Systems and the KLAS Users Community", Walker said. She continued, "Nancy's experience with KLAS, along with her on-going commitment to being our agency's subject matter expert on KLAS, helps us consistently deliver high-quality customer service to our TBS patrons."

Of her selection, Reese says, "It is heartwarming to have my work with KLAS recognized, particularly by those who truly understand what it entails. This tribute showcases the Idaho Talking Book Service. It highlights our agency's dedication to our patrons and our commitment to returning the joy of reading to those Idahoans unable to read standard print due to a disability."
